Legal guarantee of conformity
All goods we sell to consumers in the European Union come with a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years. You have these rights automatically – they are free of charge and do not need to be agreed separately.
The notice below is the official version issued by the European Commission under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960:

What this means in practice
If an item is faulty on delivery – it does not work as intended or does not match its description – you can first ask us to bring it into conformity: free repair or free replacement, and the choice between the two is yours. If that does not resolve the problem, you can ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract and get the full purchase price back.
Your purchase is governed by German law. Under it, claims under the legal guarantee expire two years after you receive the goods. If a defect appears within the first twelve months, it is presumed to have existed at delivery – so you do not have to prove it.
How to report a defect
- Tell us as soon as you can – the easiest way is an email to info@edelgoods.com. A short description and a photo are enough.
- Include proof of purchase, for example the invoice or the order confirmation.
We usually reply within one working day and agree the next steps with you.
Commercial guarantee
Beyond the legal guarantee of conformity, we currently do not offer a commercial guarantee of durability. That is why you will not find a GARAN label in our shop. This does not limit your statutory rights in any way.
